This is an ordinary Altoids container. But on the inside… I admit, I fell over laughing. At work.
I’ve been feeling kinda lonely and disconnected lately, and I could use the reminder that there’s people out there who care. I hate asking, but I’m slowly getting it through my thick skull that y’all can’t read my mind and that I have to SAY SOMETHING. :) That’s about it. Thanks.
The river’s running pretty high in Sacramento today. Here’s an album of photos I took on and around the Tower bridge today. and other train buffs might appreciate this shot, despite the fact that distance blurs it somewhat.
I caught this beauty on the The Science of Japan’s Nuclear Crisis on NPR’s website. The page looks solid, but in the upper right, I had to read twice to make sure I was reading correctly. Yes, not only is Japan suffering from the aftereffects of a 9.0 earthquake, a tsunami, and a nuclear crisis, […]
It’s a bit hard to read, but I’ve finished paying off my membership cost for Reno, and now I just have to cover the hotel. Whee. I’ll figure it out.
Every year I see these, and every year my brain wonders. So, Internets, I turn it over to you. Is this blasphemy? Why or why not? Separate to that question, is it in good taste?
Or at least she’s got good taste in sleeping arrangements. Ebony is sacked out on my latest FAPA distribution which came in the mail today.
Two things of interest to my fannish friends (and possibly others): I paid off the last little bit I owed to the Reno Worldcon, so barring extraordinary circumstances, I’ll be hanging with friends there. I mean, it’s just over the hill. (Okay, for values of hill that involves a high point of 7,240 ft above […]
Went to run a few items to the post office. Now, the post office in Sacramento is in the federal building, mere feet from the security guards manning the metal detector. They wouldn’t let me take the knife in. I guess I could use it to go postal on the postal employees, but why? Hell, […]
Poor Ebony-kitty finds herself on the wrong side of the glass to go chase the robin on the patio. We’re so mean to her.
While my brain is still trying to process last weekend — part of my head wants to believe it was all a dream, but I suspect that’s somewhat due to a slight lack of sleep — I figure I’ll do a bit of inventory and a few housekeeping notes. First, the housekeeping note: I posted […]
As much as I didn’t want to leave the fun that was Corflu, alas, all good things must come to an end. I wandered out a bit after ten last night, and got home a bit before 1. Time: about two and a half hours of driving, all told. If you want hassle-free transportation, there’s […]
What. A. Ride. I’ll have more to say when I’m a bit more coherent, but that’s the short of it.
Stopped in Cordelia Junction to fuel both myself and my car. This place has always been my marker that I’m entering the Bay Area, so I guess I’m actually going. Corflu, here I come.
